I walked around the cemetery a few weeks ago. It's a really cool historical site but needs a lot of tidying up. The grass, recently cut, was still way over grown. A lot of the grave sites need cleaning. The gate was kind of mangled and there was trash all over the place. This site could be a great historical site if maintained better.

How do you get in contact with office that takes care of this cemetery, phone # on this site is incorrect and have someone I know looking for her baby brother who was buried in 1972

John Kirby Allen is buried here. The weather was dreadfully hot the first time I visited. Two older men were seated on a nearby house porch happily playing chess. I'll always remember that moment and regret not taking a picture. If you're interested in the history of Houston, I recommend doing a drive by. I posted a photo from my last stop.
