Emergency Dentist in Houston | Uptown

My boyfriend, Jacob Hall, came here about a year ago to get his teeth cleaned/a regular check up. All the staff were courteous, professional, and very nice. Dr. Sosa was his dentist and she was great--explained everything thoroughly, always checked for Jacob's consent before doing anything, and was just friendly and fun in general. The reason I docked 2 stars was due to a few things: first, the dental tech that came in during the first appointment before Dr. Sosa kept trying to push an unnecessary procedure onto my boyfriend. i spent months looking for a dentist. my toothache from a poorly done root canal years ago came back to haunt me and this clinic was the only place that actually got me in last minute and instantly figured out a plan for me. as soon as i walked in i felt safe. that's a big deal for me because dental clinics have always felt so devoid of comfort... front desk was so kind. the lighting put me at ease and the music... finally no elevator music or radio with ads in the background! My first appointment was something akin to stepping into tepid water? There were a few things they did nicely, but also a few concerning things as well. Check-in was pretty smooth and I was admitted right on time. Scheduling the initial appointment was interesting. I did it online with a defunct portal that took some work (constant refreshing, trying different browsers, etc.) to book the initial appointment. Schedules were also not up-to-date because they followed up with me to reschedule. When rescheduled, it wasn't with the initial dentist I wanted. Skip online booking and just contact them directly.
