“Called for same day appt; my dog was vomiting and had not eaten in 2 days. Although they had a full schedule with surgery appts, they asked me to drop my dog so they could see her between appts. Did lab work and sent her home with prescriptions. All good now. Hooves and paws saved me from having to go to an emergency clinic. Wonderful and caring service!“

“I was referred to South Texas Ophthalmology by my vet in Austin to look at a mass growing on my dog’s eye. Dr. Greller was great. He was able to remove the mass on my dog’s eye the same day of my initial appointment. He spent time explaining the diagnosis and going over my options for how to proceed. He was able to ease my concerns over putting my almost 14 year old Labrador retriever under anesthesia. I knew I was leaving her in good hands! They sent me a text update right before her procedure started to let me know she was doing great and called me right as she woke up to let me know everything went successfully. I can’t thank them enough for taking such great care of my dog, Belle!“

“Took my dog Kylo here after trying different vets for mange and an ear hemotoma the Dr and Techs were all so helpful and compassionate and with the star of the Show Kylo! They are angels even so much so after the visit I ran into an unexpected situation with my bank and they were able to work out a lower budget and even waive a few things off so my buddy can get the help he needs definitely will be visiting again..oh and Kylo says thank you for all the treats!??“

“Brought my new kitty here for her initial shots and wellness exam. I made an appointment prior so I was expected and we were seen promptly. They took care of her and I was asked questions from the vet to ensure I was keeping her lol I guess. It kinda felt like an interview but I understand why. Anyway, I plan on scheduling my kitty for a spay appointment soon. Great place for initial exams and shots at lower cost.“

“Dr. Gil and the entire staff are caring professionals who treat our pups as their own. Fees are reasonable and appointments are easy to make with the friendly staff. After appointments, the staff is diligent about follow-up to ensure were pups were doing well and if there were any concerns.“

“Dr. Shannon is the best veterinarian we have ever had. We have a whole zoo at our house, and we trust her with each of our furry family members.
We’ve had our pets go through highs and true lows, and each time we’ve been more than comfortable with their care in Dr. Shannon’s hands. You can tell she loves what she does as well as each of her patients. She goes above and beyond, will literally get on the floor with your pet to make them comfortable, and has kind and patient energy.

I didn't feel pressured on not extending additional services that were an option or unnecessary for my dog, like I always felt with my other Vet). “Brought my dog here the other day for her yearly checkup and rabies shot. My fiance made an appointment for 10 AM. We pulled in a couple of minutes before 10. I took the dog for a walk on the grass while my fiance checked us in. When I went in, they were already calling us into the exam room. This place is good about keeping on schedule. They are very good with the animals that are brought to them. My dog was dropped off at the Humane Society after she had been with the same family all her life. I think this made her nervous about leaving with the vet, but they were very kind to here. While we were there for her checkup, we asked them to trim her nails. Her nails were starting to look like they belonged in Nightmare on Elm Street. The appointment was very quick. To reward our dog for being good, we went to Dutch Brothers and got her a Pup Cup. I recommend this place for how well they stay on schedule and how well they treat the animals“

“I was looking for a vet that was open on Saturday and found this place. It is easy to book your appointment online. As soon as I arrived, the front desk started taking my information and placed me in a room. I do have to say that they started telling me what my dog would need prior to the vet looking at her. Everyone was super nice. They explained exactly what they thought was going on and gave me a treatment plan. The exam and all the test were done outside of the room. The whole appointment took about 45 minutes. The prices are about average to little more than a usual vets office. The place is clean. It is located inside Petco, but they also have their own separate door to get in from the outside along with the one inside Petco. Parking is available on side, but shared with all the other businesses.“

“I brought my dog for a visit at Animal Hospital of Westoverhills and the staff were amazing and attentive. Made my dog feel at ease, as we know sometimes ours pets don't like visiting the MD. I will be using their services going forward. The office space is also spacious. You can walk your dog around for a bit before going inside.“

“Our dog was mauled by another dog yesterday so we rushed her to the AER where Dr David McGookey and his staff saw her and triaged her immediately. Dr McGookey explained what was potentially going on with her and what their recommended treatment would be to include an estimated cost which was very reasonable. They treated her and kept her for 6 hours of observation after which we picked her up and she was looking much better after being so severely traumatized. The final bill was spot on what they initially estimated it to be. It was worth the extra drive time to take her to the AER. Now we will follow up with our regular vet. These folks were great. Highly recommend them.“
