“Hey if anyone is interested in martial arts my family just recently joined Championship Martial Arts.At first, we joined because as busy working parents we needed our 2 kids (ages 8 & 9, girl & boy) involved in some form of exercise at the same time. As we searched, giving my husband and I the opportunity to also exercise would be a HUGE plus.All 4 of us are white belts, and after 2 months we are testing for our yellow belts tomorrow!For me personally, starting martial arts has been awesome because:1) I LOVE LOVE LOVE exercising with my family, especially my cute hubby, and taekwondo is a really fun skill that is unifying us.2) I love the discipline and life skills that my kids AND I are practicing!3) I'd like to share...I am in weekly EMDR trauma therapy. I am still haunted by and working through processing a very complicated and abusive childhood even as a grown adult in my 30's. 3 weeks ago during taekwondo class I was SEVERELY triggered like full blown PTSD flashback, while practicing defending myself in self-defense. I was so sad because the mantra there is "yes I can!" and I was like uhh heck no I canNOT ? But I worked with my therapist and called my instructor at Championship Martial Arts, Mr. Davis, to see what I could do to try to work through this. I signed up to work with him 1 on 1 so that I could ease into someone "attacking"/coming at me to be able to work through these triggers. It has been very empowering. I feel a lot better now and confident that yes I CAN. So yeah it started as "this will be fun!" to "this is the healing and skills I didn't know that my soul needed." From the instructors, to staff, to facility, and more: Championship Martial Arts is the absolute BEST in Coppell (and the world IMO) hands down.“

“This is a kid/toddler friendly martial arts school. Starting from the ages of 4+. The school is well organized and structured. The instructors are very friendly and attentive.The beginners class (Dragons Class) ranges from ages 4-6. It is well designed to provide not only martial arts, but also to teach life lessons in becoming a good person. The classes are fun for the kids. A great way to utilize their energy in a safe environment.Classes are from Monday-Saturday. You attend two 30-minute classes a week during the designated time spots. Classes are separated by age groups and also by skill level.My son started around the age of 4. He was very timid and shy at first. It was a struggle to get him to participate in class, but with the help of the awesome instructor staff he overcome his fear. He definitely enjoys going to classes now, and has shown a ton of improvement since joining 9 months ago.“

“I've been taking lessons at the Flower Mound location for almost 6 years. I was looking for some other activity to be involved with and hesitantly attended my first class assuming I wouldn't like it and move on to something else. What I found was an inviting helpful environment that lets the individual progress at their own pace. The Sensei was very knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. She is able to blend her teaching style so that it works for both small children and older fellas like myself. As a student, I feel respected and encouraged at every step. If you're looking for some karate training, whether kid or adult, I would very much recommend kai/dojo in Flower Mound!“

“Well FB is throwing shade and won't let me post this as a review since I already reviewed DDA a while back, so Ima just leave this right here and write some reviews on Yelp and Google maybe. My 2 boys adore Sifu and all he teaches them. I hear "SIFU SAYS DON'T HIT" often - apparently Sifu is default authority over fighting. Suffice it to say, I was NOT surprised when my son wanted his 5th birthday to be "a karate party with Sifu". I wasn't sure what to expect, but my non-expectations were EXCEEDED and taken for a ride. Isaac LOVED his party - the lesson, the CUTTING HIS CAKE WITH A REAL SWORD, playing Piso (sp?), joking around with his favorite Sifu. All the parents were so impressed and several were like, "Who IS this guy?!?!" Sifu was great and Isaac hasn't stopped talking about it. Thank you, Sifu!“

“We love KTI and I would recommend them to anyone! Master Landers is a great instructor and my son learned so much from her. The owners Master and Mrs. Monroe are very invested in the children and really helped my son to focus more and improve his behavior. My son was in the after school program which is affordable (less than many daycares in the area) and you get a lot more from the program.
