Sub par customer service but our doodle comes home looking great, so I’ll still use them for now. The groomers here are good workers. They do their tasks well. The owner, however, has broken systems for notifying customers when their animal is ready and doesn’t take nicely to the customer for the broken notification system. The current system is to text the customer when the pet is ready for pick up. However, if the customer perhaps doesn’t see the text, you will receive a phone call from a disgruntled business owner indicating it’s X amount of time past when the pet was ready with zero amount of politeness or even proper closure to the call. My dealings with the owner were as such. The owner called me and answered the phone immediately. She curtly informed me my dog had been waiting up there for two hours. They waited two hours after completion of services before calling me. I thanked her for calling me and she responded with yeah then hung up. Very unprofessional behavior from the owner, but not the groomers. The groomers do good work. Specifically, Faith and Nancy. I asked the groomers if they were the ones who called me and they informed me I spoke to the owner. Suggestion to owner - build into your pick up notification system a confirmation opt in. If the customer hasn’t confirmed pick up, call them. You can also state there is a late fee to ensure pick ups are done in a timely manner if this has been a repeated problem. Changing your system will prevent negative resentment being pushed onto the customer and possibly losing business due to unprofessional business conduct.
