Today's Dentistry Galveston has been serving the Galveston community for over three decades. The practice prides itself on providing affordable dental treatments in a warm and compassionate environment to ensure a relaxing visit for each patient. After the unfortunate destruction of their original office in 2008 due to Hurricane Ike, the practice opened a new office in League City to continue serving patients who had moved inland. The Galveston office was rebuilt in 2010, and Dr. Truong has been leading the team since 2020. Patients consistently praise the practice's amazing team, highlighting their friendliness, efficiency, and helpfulness. A new patient to the area expressed gratitude for the informative, patient, and attentive staff. Another patient mentioned the great work during a first visit. A long-term patient praised the fully updated tools, efficient paperless sign-in process, and knowledgeable technicians, hygienists, and dentists. Patients have described the atmosphere as very friendly and kind, with a dentist who provides excellent care. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the attention to detail was superb. The staff, including Vanessa and Katelyn, were praised for their helpfulness and for lifting the spirits of patients.

Yesterday was my first visit to Today's Dentistry, having left a dentist in Nassau Bay after having been a patient there for 20+ years, as my hygienist there retired. I saw Dr. Smeeta (sp?) and hygienist Sheeda (sp?), both of whom were fantastic. The woman who initially took me back to do x-rays was also pleasant, but very timid and unsure of herself. My only complaints are these: the receptionist was not very courteous. She was rather brusque, actually, so my initial impression of the practice was not good at all. My other complaint is that I was charged a $15 out of pocket "COVID-19 fee" and I'm still not clear what that is for since the timid woman could not adequately explain it. If this dental practice is following OSHA standards for cleaning and sterilization, why would there need to be a COVID-19 mitigation fee of some sort? I'll be taking that up with my insurance company and let them sort it out. Overall, though, I was mostly pleased, especially by Sheeda, and will likely make this my future go-to for dental visits.
