“Tonie is great at her profession, our first visit and if we lived here (we're from Kansas), we would go monthly. Husband and I made back to back appointments for a Swedish massage and Tonie didn't disappoint. She made us feel so relaxed and eased away our tired, sore and aching bodies. I would highly recommend Tonie for your massage.“

“Yvette and her stylists are the gems on this island. The salon has been a Galveston go to for myself and friends for nearly two decades. Yvette is a master stylist and her staff stays with her. The lack of turnover says a lot. Very reasonable pricing and kid friendly.“

“We made the 5+ hour drive down from Dallas and stayed here the night before a cruise that sailed out of Galveston the week of 1/26 - 2/2/24. We took advantage of valet parking at the hotel and at only $34 a day, it sounded like a much better idea than leaving the car in a self-park open lot left totally vulnerable to the elements. Convenience and peace of mind go a long way.We were greeted by two courteous, professional, friendly, and attentive young men - Marcus and Diego - when we drove up to Valet. We mentioned it was our first time staying at this property, so he guided us and made sure we knew where we needed to go. The Resort is delightfully adorned with a modern, upscale feel. There is so much to do and there's even a spa. May need to do that next time when we go on a cruise again but stay for two nights instead of one.We were checked in by Jasmyne and were told that our room was not yet ready and that I would receive a text message as soon as it was available(we arrived shortly after 3PM). About 20 minutes later, there appeared to be an issue with the room, so we were promptly relocated the the 14th Floor and given a coupon for the cup+cone and access to Continental Breakfast one floor up. The room was gorgeous. Facing the ocean just as advertised on the VIP Floor with Two Queen Beds. Very comfortable and easily The BEST hot water I have ever experienced in a hotel shower! The dinner at Blake's Bistro was wonderful. Hostess Georgia greeted us and showed us to our table. Ella was our sweet and attentive server and she walked us through the menu and made suggestions. Had the Dragonfruit Blueberry Punch for a Mocktail and, for the entrée, opted for the Chicken and Rice soup and Asian Chicken Salad. Both excellent! Homemade Banana Cream Pie for Dessert. Get it! Trust me on that one. Even the whipped cream is made from scratch, I'm told. I even spoke to whom I believe to be a manager at the hostess desk after our meal. I didn't catch his name, but he was visiting tables and making sure guests had what they needed. For a first time patron, this was a great first impression and experience. I will choose this Resort again the next time we are here for a Cruise.I called and spoke with Sam a week before our one night stay and she made sure I was booked on the 9:15 AM Cruise Shuttle to the Port as well as Long-Term Valet Parking for the duration of the cruise.Upon check-out from the Hotel the next morning, one of the front desk staff - Timothy - assisted us and printed out the room incidentals and charges to make sure everything was correct. Aside from an incorrect address(which was corrected upon check-out), everything seemed to be fine. Timothy said he didn't like the way one of the charges looked and that he was going to double check it with his Manager. I explained to them that I needed to put the charge on a different credit card (because I was going on a cruise and needed to utilize the card I had originally used for the Hotel Reservation for onboard purchases) and it was all cleared up. Not the fault of San Luis - next time, I will plan better so I don't have to change the credit card associated with the Hotel Reservation. When we returned to the Port of Galveston on February 2nd, we had facial recognition at customs, retrieved our luggage, and were out of the terminal building within 10 minutes. We then called an Uber and were back at the Hotel Valet with the blue ticket in hand to retrieve our vehicle by 9:55AM and started the 5+ hour drive back to Dallas. From the efficiency and ease of check-in to the Hotel on January 25th, check-out on February 2nd, to the cleanliness of the room, to the Valet Parking and the atmosphere of the Resort itself, we would feel very comfortable returning to San Luis for our next pre-cruise stay. Special thanks to Sam, Marcus, Diego, Jasmyne, Georgia, Ella, and Timothy. See you in January 2026 if not before then!“
