I box dyed my hair in early March, today I finally went in to get it fixed and I'm so happy with it. She is kind; funny; and knowledgeable!!! She did an amazing job, and all for a great price. She even threw in a free micro trim!!! She uses great products, that do not do extensive damage. Went from a dark strawberry to a light cool toned blonde, so that required a ton of bleaching but my hair feels so good, and not at all like it's just waiting to completely fall out, which is definitely a risk with bleaching! This girl has some serious talent gifted to her! Y'all will seriously love her!!!!!!!

Jose is the truth! Googled Barber shops near me since I'm new to the island, picked this one because of the mom and pop vibe they seem to take care of you more at those spots. Anyways, I was right and this is my new barber from here on.

I have been going to modern nails for about 3 years now. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating even when I don’t have an appointment. This last time Angoe did my pedicure. She was amazing. She had the perfect amount of pressure and my feet felt so relaxed afterwards. And my toes looked so nice. I would highly recommend her and I will continue to request Angoe as well.
The owners are a Korean married couple. They were nice & very informative while giving my pedicure. It was a first-time, enjoyable experience. I wish all nail salons would be like them. As the husband said, "I'm the customer & the boss." I love the fact that they are the only ones working there, by their choice. The environment is peaceful & quiet. I'll be returning to get a manicure.

Hey guys, if you can't reach your toes or your significant other doesn't want to cut your nails this is a great go to place . Actually make or female they are quick service, however I would recommend a reservation . They can get very busy . Easy parking and reasonably priced . My wife and I go as a couple and get some lunch afterwards.

To the average person, the place seems like every other hair place in the world upon entering. But if you look, listen and feel the passion of the stylists, you will understand the difference between an average salon and this one. Three stylists who've been together about 3 decades. In the same location for a similar time. My husband and I moved to Galveston in 2022 - and, of course, needed a place to go to have our hair done. Husband went first - and it was a terrific cut - not like any of the cuts he'd had previously. Stylish and respectable at the same time (very hard to accomplish with hair). The owner cut my husband's hair personally. Fast forward a couple of months. I don't have my hair done often because I just don't like any of the cuts I've had. Until now. The lady who cut my hair really impressed me with her understanding of what I wanted. I don't know about the other services they provide, but I'm willing to say they are probably done with the same enthusiasm and expertise.

The San Luis Resort is beyond magnificent! I recently stayed here for a business trip and was blown away by the conference center. First and foremost, the hotel has excellent parking with top-notch security, which ensured our cars were safe—an important aspect when attending a conference.
The conference room was perfect, providing a secure and spacious environment for our events. The guest rooms were spectacular, and due to the large event, we were upgraded to VIP for a late check-in. We were astounded by the VIP floor amenities, including cookies, apples, a lovely breakfast, and various snacks available throughout the day with our key card.
Our room was beautiful, offering stunning views of the beach—a wonderful sight to wake up to. One highlight for my children was the water slide at the resort, which led directly into the pool. The poolside service was exceptional, with waitstaff ensuring our kids had food while they played for hours.
Additionally, the resort’s ice cream shop and breakfast buffet made our stay even more enjoyable and convenient. Overall, the San Luis Resort provided an outstanding experience, and I highly recommend it for both business and leisure stays.

Went to Von Striga Art Parlor seeking a half sleeve forearm tattoo. The shop was clean and decorated in highly nostalgic 1980's pop-art memorabilia. The woman at the front desk was kind and attentive and promptly introduced us to a tattoo artist "Ricky." Ricky provided examples of his work and addressed every question professionally. His work is A+ and he quoted a reasonable ballpark on the work to be performed. During the session Ricky was fun and knowledgeable and his work was even better than hoped. I highly recommend Ricky and Von Striga Art Parlor. This was a great experience. Thank you Ricky and staff!

I have used three cleaning partners in Galveston for my short-term rental properties. The first one was terrible, the second was good but very expensive, and Maid in Galveston is equally great with excellent service and at a fair and reasonable price. I have been using them for several months and am very happy with their attention to detail and level of cleanliness. They have their cleaning manager check my home after each clean, which I am very appreciative of. When there have been small issues (because no one is perfect 100% of the time) they have addressed them immediately and professionally. I consider them true partners in my business, so much so that I am hiring them to clean another property I am purchasing in Galveston.
From the first meeting with them until they were done Galveston Remodeling was very professional. They were the only ones that came up with a layout to keep my window in my kitchen. They did a great job. And I will use them again on my next project. This is my before and after. I love my kitchen.

Fabulous experience! Management gave us a reasonable quote to modify a gigantic aging pecan tree that potentially could damage our roof during storms. They also removed a secondary tree. The professional tree surgeon and team members were amazing. They were on time, and took steps to leave our property clean and neat. Sincere thanks goes to all and the site leader who graciously "held my hand" throughout the experience.

I had a very Positive experience at Todays Dental. The care was done very well by a very kind dentist. Check in and out was seamless. The only concern is this company is out of network with my insurance. So sadly I can't get the majority of the work I need done there.

Dr. Monique Hoang provided an excellent experience, she took time to explain the details of my treatment plan will be, and the “reasons behind and why”. She made me feel comfortable, I believed the treatment plan was great and brought me my best interest in mind. Due to heavy bone loss or periodontitis issue, Dr. Monique was not recommended to do the dental implant vs the denture. I decided to go with the partial denture, turned out that I felt great, absolutely no complaint, this partial upper denture helps a lot on my daily meal basis. The office staff was pleasant, especially, Mrs. July, the dental hygienist, who performed my deep teeth’s clean was also very friendly and professional. Thank you, Dr. Monique and entire team.

They're a small town vibe and they all really care about their kitties. I like that the cat clinic is cats only and they do their very best to try making the cats comfortable. They also have very nice boarding facilities in the back where the kitties can hang out. Also, love the zany cat decor.

Our dog fell from a deck and shattered his femur. We were a few blocks away from The Animal Clinic and rushed there to find out they were closed, but Dr. Lea Fistein agreed to treat him and pretty much saved his life and leg. They were able to stabilize him for transport to overnight ER in League City, then treated him the next day. He was able to recover enough for surgery the next week. The entire staff was very professional and we are much appreciative of their effort to save our dog.
This was our 1st visit to this clinic and it was a very pleasant visit! Dr. Gordon was knowledgeable and explained everything going on! We will be bringing our new baby to them very soon!
My husband and I went here while on vacation for a 90 minute coupes massage. I get massages usually 1-2 times per month for the last 15 years and this was by far one of the best ones I have ever had. Angie and Sandy were simply magical. I have never had this type of massage before and let me tell you these ladies put their whole bodies into it. I have never been massaged and stretched like that before. This place is worth every penny and more and I wish it was in my home town.

I got a facial by Tatiana. I'm from Round Rock, TX so about 4 hours away and needed a facial while my husband was at work. My first facial was not super great, and Tatiana definitely made up for that experience! She coached me through the steps she was doing, and would check in if I was doing ok. Best facial I've ever had. I would come back to her every month if I could. I hope more people discover this amazing gem.

Walked in there feeling old and broken. Walked out feeling 18 again!! Genesis really fixed main issue which was my hand/wrist. It was hurting so much that it hurt to even pick up a cup. At the end of our session I was able to move it and pick anything up with ZERO pain!!! She is absolutely the best at what she does!
We reached out asking for a short notice booking and she wasn’t able to fit us in unfortunately but she took the time to refer us to someone she knows and trusts.
