We found Dr. Goldstein to be extremely unprofessional during our recent video consult. Devastatingly, he immediately blurted out the sex of our previously frozen embryos from another clinic, WHICH WE DID NOT WANT TO KNOW. We spent 2 years keeping that information secret and were crushed that he revealed that information to us out of the blue. There are not many (good) surprises in IVF and learning the sex of our future baby was one that we had hoped to preserve. Dr. Goldstein so callously and casually disclosed something that MANY couples keep secret. Every single doctor and clinic with whom we've spoken along our journey has asked before broaching the subject. Dr. Goldstein's casual disregard and disrespect for our wishes robbed us of something very special. He barely even responded in the moment, despite our clearly shocked and devastated response. We sent a follow up email to his clinic explaining what happened and that we would not be pursuing treatment with them because that is not the level of care, attention to detail, or professional judgment we are looking for in our physician or clinic. He did not respond, yet inexplicably, we continued to receive messages from the clinic for the following week with instructions for next steps and a financial consultation. After I resent the message and explained we would not be pursuing treatment with them, we eventually received a curt response. Even if this gross exercise of poor judgement had not occurred, there were other red flags during our consult that would have turned us off to pursuing treatment with Dr. Goldstein. He wore a cowboy hat that obscured over half of his face for most of the video call, hadn't reviewed our medical records in detail, made several contradictory statements, and couldn't answer basic questions about medication he was suggesting I use. I've been undergoing IVF for several years, I work in reproductive health myself, and I am not new to this process. Based on this extremely disappointing and devastating interaction, we will not be trusting Dr. Goldstein or his clinic with our care. I suspect our experience may be relevant to other patients' decision-making process, so I am sharing it here. I hope our feedback causes Dr. Goldstein to operate with more care in his future interactions with patients.

So already emailed [email protected] and told them I was going to leave a poor review to Dr.Chilvers office and staff. Office called for fake apology for their mistakes, but apology is not accepted. I hate to say Dr.Chilvers office is very unprofessional and end to end could not do simple tasks. I have explained some details on the phone. Let me tell you my reasons why: 1) Dr. Chilvers and her nurse's could not explain the IVF process clearly and all the time we had to follow up for clarification in the IVF process and this process made us very nervous due to your nurses. These people can not explain the cycle in detail and can not draw a clear picture of the process, if they can not explain in simple terms, they do not know their business. We are frustrated and being sorry does not resolve our current situation. I am not going to mention the specific names here, I have already mentioned in the email. 2) Your finance and billing department is VERY SLOW to respond. 3) Another nurse of this office took +19 days to give my wife, a simple medical report, and we finally got it by escalating to director of this office on June 19th. Can you believe June 19th was the deadline and this nurse took forever to do a simple task. Can you believe your team also scheduled our Embryo transfer on May 30, memorial day, then they changed it one day before, good job... 4) We have been to all of your offices including Frisco, Dallas, two different locations and finally in Plano. We have signed up for the Frisco office but going to different locations disappointed us during IVF cycle and last minute changes of Dr.Chilvers plan also frustrated us. 5) Your finance does not know how to calculate math, I have found their mistakes a couple times. This is not acceptable as well. At least say sorry if you make a mistake... finance team... In a long story short, we HATE to chose Fertility Specialists of Texas in our first IVF Journey end to end and we could not be successful, and we wanted to share our poor experiences in all social media and search platforms. So choose your office carefully, best of luck!

My wife and I had the best experience with Dr. Goldstein. We switched to this fertility office after not having success with 2 rounds of IVF at another well known fertility office in Southlake and Dallas. Dr. Goldstein was very honest with us and let us know what was needed in order to have success with IVF. With my wife already in her 40s and having experienced 2 failed cycles we were hesitant to even try again. After meeting with Dr. Goldstein we felt more comfortable trying again. Not because he told us that everything was perfect, but because he was very direct with us, and explained his process. If you want someone to sugar coat things and take your money with no results then this office isn't for you. If you want someone to be honest with you about expectations, then this is your office. My wife and I are more focused on facts and results, and Dr. Goldstein delivered just that! We were blessed over this past summer with the birth of our baby boy, and we are forever grateful for Dr. Goldstein and his team. We plan on going back for another round this year.
