Went for a appointment this morning. It was at 0900, I thought it was for 10am. No, problem I'll reschedule. Waiting period for dental is 9months!! Then another veteran walks up for an appointment, clerk stopped helping me and when straight to next person, told me to wait?!!! Customer service at FTW VA is awful and the phone system is horrible!! Why treat veterans like this.

What a bunch of incompetent jerks at this VA! My doctor is useless as well as everyone else in that damn facility. Why do I have to take time away from my job to drive up to the hospital to get in touch with anyone?? Why are we paying them to just hang up and not give AF about veterans?
I don't ask for much but what I do ask for is consistency and at least a tiny bit of empathy. I have private insurance however, some things are just too expensive like an MRI which the VA should have given me YEARS ago.
Last resort hospital for me.

Update: I have taken my dad (92) here twice now and everyone has been so helpful and kind. He uses a cane, but because it is a large facility, they always get him a wheel chair to use. The facility is very nice and the people there are wonderful. If you love movie theatre popcorn, buy some from Da Popcorn King near the front entry. It is delicious and cheaper than the theatre.
Hard to get someone on the phone, but once I got to talk with Lindsey In Eligibility, she was wonderful. She got us signed up and made our 1st appointment. At one point we got disconnected and she called right back. I hope we get the same attention from the medical staff.
