I can't stress enough how well they took care of both me and my cat, Pumpkin. I had to bring him in on Monday of last week late in the evening due to unexplained vomiting and it turned out he had a bowel obstruction. They explained the process of what they could do and how I could go about it and, of course, I told them to proceed with the surgery.
Dr. Duck was his surgeon that night and the one that explained on the x-rays what they found. She did an amazing job and was able to get what I'm know wasn't an easy extraction, done with no complications. My naughty beagle is a frequent patient here. We have always had a very good experience and the staff is very professional and knowledgeable. His last stay was an overnight stay. I was able to obtain updates on his progress all night.
Despite the hesitation I had regarding some of the reviews that I read, I was pleasantly pleased with the care provided to my dog. My dog had an allergic reaction to Benadryl, and AFAEH took him back for lab work and monitoring which lasted about an hour and a half. He was on the tail end of the hyper-manic state when we arrived at the facility, unbeknownst to me. The staff was very friendly and I was relieved that the trip to the ER vet didn't cost an arm and a leg. Was only charged the base exam visit fee of $145.
