I have been a patient of Lindsey Hansen for several years, and I have the greatest confidence in her skills. In fact, I credit her with saving my life by noticing a change in my blood work results which prompted her to notify my cardiologist, who in turn discovered that I had an aortic aneurysm which required immediate, life saving surgery. However, the recent turnover of this practice to WellMed has been a disaster for patients. Communication has gone to hell in a handbasket, and as of the end of the year, they no longer accept many insurance companies, a fact that they did not proactively communicate to patients. Such lack of communication is absolutely unacceptable!...read full review

I've been a patient for several years at this clinic. I have had a horrible time with them the past few days. I was in on a Friday afternoon to see TJ. My pharmacy never got the 4 new prescriptions. I called wellmed answering service, was told the clinic didn't give them closing info. I've call 3 times this morning. Communication has gone to hell in a handbasket, and as of the end of the year, they no longer accept many insurance companies, a fact that they did not communicate to patients. This lack of communication is absolutely unacceptable! I sincerely hope that Lindsey finds a new home to practice, and that I can continue to benefit from her skills and experience, but I will certainly be looking for a new general practitioner in the meantime. It is imperative that the town of Elgin ensures that they focus on locating health care providers to service the rapid growth of the town. Failure to have adequate medical care in the town will be a killer to future growth.
