“Sunset Funeral Homes - West took good care of my beloved husband during his services. There were some hiccups: one being my fault when I uploaded my husband's tribute photos to the visitor section of the obituary website by mistake. This was discovered 30 minutes before the service, and I was sorry it couldn't be rectified in the two hours we were at the facility. While I elected not to enbalm my husband prior to his cremation because I am familiar with the process and I only intended him to be seen by immediate family, makeup that was way darker than his fair complexion was used. Finally, his Requirm Mass at Immaculate Conception Church was not shown on the livestream as I was assured so out of town family could watch, but only the Rosary service. That being said, Mr. Chris Lujan and Ms. Elizabeth (don't remember her last name, sorry) were kind and respectful to me and my family. My son and I were allowed to attend the beginning of the cremation as we requested, we were able to get his ashes the same day, and his urn was just beautiful and perfect. I was given lockets with his hair and Chris prepared paperwork for me to travel with my husband's ashes to our home state for burial. I chose Sunset because I knew it was Catholic-owned and not a part of the Dignity conglomerate. I would choose Sunset again.“

“I want to say that the Eastside location has room for improvement. When I dropped off my fur baby, the guy that took him was very smiley and showed little compassion. He didn't have much answers to my concerns, and he placed my pup in the bag while I was present. I strongly believe that family should be asked if they prefer to be present or not during this process. Their communication needs improvement as well. I had to keep reaching out for updates, when it should come from their end as a courtesy to reach out atleast every 2 days if they are going to take 2 weeks to complete a cremation. The kid at the Westside location was pretty good with his customer service, and the young man who delivered was really compassionate with kind words as be delivered my baby. The package that I received was beautiful with a vial of my baby's fur, a clay paw print. I do highly recommend this place, just improve on the areas I mentioned above. Thank you♡“
