I’m unsure if James’s review is personal or not. I played there this past Saturday and booked an early tee time, with 4 players we had no issues getting done under 4 hours. Butterfield offers the best greens in town. If you're complaining about the pricing, it's clear you've never played outside of El Paso. We're fortunate to have the rates we do. Butterfield charges no more than other courses in the area, and it's a superior course. If the cost of a bucket of balls is too much for you, maybe it's time to consider a different sport—like handball.

The course is in great shape. The greens are a little rough, but you can tell they are trying to maintain them. The staff is helpful and makes sure you stay hydrated. You have to deal with slow, older golfers that think they own the course. The Marshall is no help. The prices are too much. You should never have to pay 16 dollars for a bucket of balls. I have been playing here since it opened, but after repeated bad experiences with slow play and being overcharged, I will be changing course.
