I've used Holcomb for 25ish years. Tree trimming and fertilization each year.We have beautiful old trees that require some extra care to keep them nice and also trimmed to keep our neighbors happy and safe.Holcomb is not a discount tree service and will not do stupid things even if you want them to. I've tried. I always get good advice so my trees are maintained properly.I like the new system ahead of the fertilization so you can see costs and confirm what areas are being treated.Each year this company gets better. I think they've been around 65+ years.
I have lived in Dallas since 1979. I’ve hired several companies that trim trees. I can say without hesitation that Holcomb Tree Service is the best. Jason Whatley, an arborist with Holcomb, takes his time in explaining what needs to be done and why, then submits a written estimate. Jason’s expertise is invaluable. He recently dropped by to give me an estimate to trim some established trees. When I pointed to two 15-foot October Glory Maple trees planted last summer, Jason noticed a co-dominant stem at the top of on each tree and said it needed to be structure pruned to keep a dominant leader. Yesterday, one of Holcomb’s crews carefully pruned the Maple trees as well as the larger, more established trees while Jason patiently answered my questions. He and his crew also agreed to do some additional work at a minimal charge. Their clean-up was thorough. And their work was, as always, excellent.
