I have been here for 32 years. Multiple cats..many. Dr Stephanie chritton, was the initial pioneer with others for a vision of animal care. Also Dr Jaime husky....several others that built this business with absolute animal and owner care. Today, I brought my 14 year old cat in for vomiting anything. Not drinking water etc Dr. Hall was loud and talked incessantly, repeatedly. Nice person, but left me without diagnosis. Because I had gotten there early, she went to give shots to other appointments She never came back after she left. This is not the hillside clinic that I have recommended for many years.
I've always been happy overall with the quality of care my pets receive at Hillwood. However, they have a habit of not examining your pet in your presence. Instead, they take him / her into another examination room that's out of your sight. After 15-20 minutes they bring you pet back in with a diagnosis and list of recommended care and medicines. There's also inevitably some kind of additional charge(s) for things you didn't approve in advance. As a result, the cost is always pretty pricey. I have no problem going to Hillside, but I've decided to avoid going for any kind of non-emergency unless absolutely unavoidable.
UPDATED REVIEW: After six years of care at Hillside, noticing the gradual decline in overall service and the departures of long time veterinarians, I decided to seek care elsewhere for my dog. The last straw was being denied a refill for medication for a condition that she had been treated for multiple times at that location without an exam that would have been physically excruciating for her. Another nearby vet was willing to prescribe this medication without seeing her based on her records at Hillside. At this point I would probably still bring in my dog for an after hours emergency.
