“I have a home warranty through American Home Shield and J Tech Mechanical was assigned to repair my upstairs Lennox a/c unit which was displaying code “336”.They were out 5-6 times; diagnosed different problems 2-3 times and finally indicated that a pipe connected to the unit, which extends through the roof, needed to be replaced. This was denied by AHS under the exclusion “vents not covered “. We would’ve been out of pocket the $100 service fee, $750 to replace the pipe and would’ve also had to hire and pay a roofer to glue down the pipe extending through the roof. All of this took place from mid November/23 to the end of January, 2024.I called Service Express and requested Gilbert Carrisalez, who came out within a day or two. He diagnosed the problem and additionally, noticed that the pipe to the downstairs Lennox unit was disconnected and letting out carbon monoxide through our home for an unknown amount of time. He glued the pipes together and added extra support.The problem to the upstairs unit consisted of cutting the pipe, blowing it out and discovering that a prior H-Vac Co., sent by American Home Shield “glued” this pipe together previously. However, silicone was used and it expanded the width of the pipe, causing a restriction in the air flow and the code “336” to come on.Gilbert removed the blockage, properly glued the pipe back together and the problem was resolved on his 2nd visit within a week.It should’ve all been repaired by J Tech and it all should’ve been covered under the AHS contract.Gilbert owned his own AC/Heating co for 25-30 years. He sold the company and moved out of the country for awhile. He returned and went to work for Service Express.I’ve used Gilbert over the past 25 years. He is extremely honest and fair . He explains everything to your understanding and will go out of his way to assist in any way he can.I HIGHLY recommend Service Express!!
