“I watched for a couple of months as the old Chamber of Commerce building was slowly being converted into "something." I didn't know what the business would be, but there was great attention to detail in the craftsmanship during the remodel. It opened as a barber shop with a stylist in the back of the salon. On a whim, I decided to see if they accepted walk-ins so I could get my hair trimmed. The barber I spoke with was polite, but said he didn't cut women's hair, and suggested I speak with the stylist. She informed me that she was booked a full week in advance, so I left. As I got to my car, I decided to give the barber a shot, if he would take me as a client; after all, when I was stationed at 29 Palms, John the Barber cut my hair like a pro. I asked him again if he could just trim up the sides and back, and he admitted that he did not know how to cut women's styles, so I suggested he just clean it up like a little boy's haircut. Reluctantly, he cut my hair. It was PERFECT. There was no need for him to be worried. He cleaned up my neckline better than any stylist ever has, and I LOVE HIM FOR IT. The barber is a craftsman and just like the attention to detail which was paid to the renovation of his building, he took great care in my cut, even though I was indifferent. I will definitely go back. I will add some photos of this quaint little joint as soon as I get this posted.“
