Called this business to come and give a quote for sheet rock in rooms that were damaged due to water. The owner came looked at the work and I could tell he did not want to bother. He said he would call me to set up a time for a quote, duh that is why you were here!!! He left and never called back. Very unprofessional and just a little odd....

We used them about a year and half ago for a simple sliding glass door install and tiling. See the story goes likes this. Austin had been pounded by rain for days on end, I began to notice water pooling around the sliding glass door that leads to the backyard. We have the pergo/laminate wood flooring and that was beginning to "bubble" as the water seeped underneath. I called around to several places, and finally CDK/Ken Peters agreed to come take a look at the job and thusly perform the work. At first I thought he was a Godsend. Prompt, affordable, reliable--all of those attributes that one dreams of, but rarely finds with a handyman service. He tells me his "crew" will be out to work the job, and he'll be over to supervise. Well, no problems--right?? WRONG! These yahoos had NO CLUE about sliding glass door installation. They left for 2 hours to "get supplies" from the bigbox hardware store that's a mile down the road. In the meantime, I had a gaping hole in my wall. They finally return to finish the door and install the lock improperly. So, a week later they come back to fix that. Took them 2 hours to do that. I also contracted a tiling service from CDK/KEN. (to fix the bubbling issue that happened in front of the door) That seemed to go smoothly at first. Well, the tile guy didn't adhere the transition strip correctly. A week after the job was "finished" I was calling Ken to have someone come back to re-attach the strip. They also didn't take their leftover supplies/trash. Nor did they remove the old door from my property. I called and emailed CDK/KEN for MONTHS after this debacle, never did he nor anyone from his company ever call to ask or followup of the completion. This guy is a joke. and unprofessional. His men are sloppy and they do poor work. I will never hire them again. I hope this review makes others think twice about hiring them too. Horrible.

I used CDK again this month for a few different items. 1) Adding trim to the bottom of our siding, we decided on using Hardie Board for the trim. The workers did a good job of putting up trim along the bottom where none had been and then cutting away and replacing the vertical trim that had been damaged. 2) Replacing boards in our deck, leveling it (as it had become severally sloped on one side due to the dirt sinking), powerwashing and sealing it with some water seal. 3) Water sealing our new fence (that had been put in last Nov by Austex) 4) Clothesline T-Pole installation, they had to dig up the old busted piece of pipe from the old T-Pole, and install the new one in a new concrete foot. As part of the work they did, they put in some fill dirt around the main steps of the deck and in doing so, unearthed our stepping stones that had sunk down due to the overall dirt sinking. The workers were here all week, they were courteous and fun to chat with as they progressed in completing the tasks. I would definitely recommend CDK to others. Also, the project was done as one total cost + materials. I likely had misjudged the amount of materials that we would need, but the materials cost was several hundred dollars less than I was expecting.
