I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Virginia Bougher and couldn't have been more pleased! I was treated with the utmost courtesy and respect, received a timely exam and discussed several lens options with Dr. Bougher and her husband Dr. Larry Smith. I had most recently been wearing a progressive prescription but thought it hadn't been helping me much, so had booked my appointment for a single vision exam. When I got there, it was suggested that I might not like single vision as much as I thought after wearing progressives. I chuckled and said, "Nah, it's single vision for me!" Dr. Smith kind of giggled and said, "Okay, but you're probably not gonna like them!" I was insistent, but he gave me a free, additional prescription for progressive lenses when that normally would have been an extra charge. I thanked him but assured him I wouldn't need it, walked next door to Eyemart Express and had my single vision lenses made. To my astonishment, I couldn't read my phone! Dr. Smith was right and I've unknowingly gotten hooked on progressives over the past couple of years. So I wound up using the progressive prescription after all, laughing the whole time. Highly recommend Cedar Park Optometry!

I was prescribed my first pair of glasses at five, was wearing progressive bifocals at 35, and now, at 65, it's time for cataract surgery. Through all the years, I've seen my fair share of optometrists and opthomologists and I can say, without hesitation, the examination I received from Drs. Bougher and Smith was possibly the most thorough I've ever experienced. More importantly, though, was how comfortable they made me feel, taking time to explain procedures during the exam and answering all my questions. If you're looking for an optometrist, look no further. Cedar Park Optometry has certainly gained my confidence and trust.
