Arc Electric was the electrical sub on a major home addition and remodel job in Austin. The wiring in the walls seems to have been done correctly. The trim guy did a shoddy job. Specifically, exterior lights were repeatedly wired incorrectly, one outside circuit had no GFCI, an interior fan was installed without using the remote provided with the fan and a circuit breaker which, according to an arc employe, was installed undersized.The general contractor was ineffective in getting these mistakes fixed and had to hire another electrician to redo these items. Absolutely horrible experience. Hired for new construction and they pretty much screwed up everything possible. Single handedly responsible for over a year in construction delays. They put 20amp fuses on 15 amp rated wire (even though job was bid for 20 amp wire). Luckily was caught before electrical fire occurred. Fixtures throughout house installed crooked and protruding from walls. Multiple high end fixtures had their transformers burned out because installer didn't follow manufacturer directions. Made an appointment a week in advance. Josh said he would be out first thing, on friday, after he dropped his kids off at school. I waited and waited, then finally text him and asked if he was coming out today. Took 40 minutes before I got a reply. Then, was told if I could wait he would call me after he got out of a meeting. I understand things can come up, but if you can't make an appointment, then you should communicate with your customer and let them know there is a delay and why. I told Josh NEVERMIND. Evidently I wasn't important enough to communicate with. I called another electrician and didn't even mess with ARC electric.
