I had a few questions after my dog’s recent stay—just some confusion on my end about policies and pricing—and the team at Hill Country Pet Ranch went above and beyond to follow up and make sure everything was clear. They took the time to personally call me, walk me through everything with kindness and transparency, and truly made me feel heard and valued. It’s rare to find a place that not only provides great care for your pets but also treats their clients with this level of respect and professionalism. I was so impressed by their responsiveness and willingness to go the extra mile. You can tell they really care, and that kind of service makes all the difference. My pup has boarded here multiple times and we’ll absolutely continue coming back. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hill Country Pet Ranch to anyone looking for a safe, kind, and trustworthy place for their fur baby.
Do not board your pet here as they can’t be trusted. Made a reservation as per their instructions on their web page months prior to arrival for specific room and received confirmation. Upon arrival they said we didn’t have any such reservation and that it was my fault for not calling them. Even though the website states they would call us. They never did and when we brought this up to the manager, the manager said they would never do that. So essentially she called us liars and did absolutely nothing to attempt to resolve the situation. They may have a flashy website but they have horrible service and really only care in taking your money.
I used the on line registration form in August for an October vacation. I received an email confirmation but when I arrived to board I was told no reservation was documented for a private suite. I asked the staff and their response was that people usually call and don’t use the on line registration process. I told the young ladies there was no way to request a private suite on the on line form and was told it was my responsibility and that they should have called to confirm. When I told the employee I never received a confirmation call, her only response was… that’s why people usually call and confirm. The next day I called and spoke with a manager. She was less than helpful and told me that when making a reservation I should’ve called back. When I told her that nobody called to confirm, she questioned my truthfulness and stated she found if difficult to believe no one called. I asked for a discount, and she rudely blew me off. Will never be back again!!!!
