Beautiful, modern hotel and spa. Spa will validate valet service. Staff friendly and knowledgeable and spa is beautiful but tiny. Be aware the dressing area/bathroom is only big enough for 2 people max and waiting area for spa is not much more than one big, comfy sofa. However, they seemed to book appointments where this wasn't an issue. Check in staff was friendly and my service (facial) was fabulous. Theresa did an excellent job and it was the best facial I've ever had! She educated me on skincare (only after I shared my interest--not pushy like some can be) and look forward to returning.

I'll be honest, while Hotel ZaZa's spa was smaller and had a more eclectic, city vibe vs. the quaint country spas I've used and preferred, the client service was far superior to any facility I've used before, hands down. I've been an event and meeting planner for 20+ years, last 10 spent with a huge, international government consulting firm. I've been to a lot of hotels and spas during my travels so I speak from experience! Nicci, the manager at the desk, called to confirm my appointment a day ahead and we talked about the service and areas I wanted to concentrate on. I walked in an hour early expecting to be told to wait in the lobby but was instead welcomed in with the warmest of smiles, offered champagne and asked if I wanted to begin my session early or relax a bit. I went to the back, changed into a robe and noticed that the robe provided in the locker was smaller than I was! (Something they may want to consider when providing options for guests, inclusivity is beautiful ) I came out and sat in the waiting area, saw a lap blanket on the chair and promptly put it over my lap to keep from showing off my kibbles and bits LOL Nikki came back to check on me and noticed my discomfort immediately. She discreetly asked if I wanted another robe; she didn't ask if I wanted a BIGGER robe, she simply asked if I needed another. This difference in question may not seem like a huge deal to anyone else but noticing those details about a client's comfort are important. I felt seen without the public embarrassment. Also, really nice touch on having blankets draped over the chairs, I love them not only for coverage but because my body temp often fluctuates due to my autoimmune disorder, most of the spas I've visited don't have lap blankets in common areas and they should - even if they have to wash them between guest visits. The actual session was really nice, I chose the mind/body/spirit aromatherapy massage. The tech Wendy, asked about focus areas, pressure, temperature, and any pre-existing conditions. When I informed her of my condition (multiple sclerosis) she mentioned that a friend of hers had it too and told her that heat could affect MS patients so she wanted to be mindful of the heated table. I never thought to mention it in other sessions I've had but yes, a 60-90 min session on a heated table could cause issues for certain clients. Thankful she asked! The whole massage was like a much needed hug and it brought me to literal tears. I was so grateful for the relief and care she showed me. I actually went into this session nervous about if my ever changing, post Covid body (which is much bigger now) would cooperate. I didn't know how long I'd be able to comfortably lie there for an hour with my back and neck issues but was very comfortable AND loved that the table could be adjusted so I could sit up during the final 15 minutes. Although I'm originally from Texas I don't come back to visit the state often and my last visit to Austin for a conference 2 years ago had me in my feels over an unfortunate incident where I was called a racial epithet on my way to a restaurant. I'm cautious when I travel certain regions, keenly aware of my surroundings and always a little self-conscious of how I'm perceived and will be treated. ZaZa spa staff treated me like family.

Great massage and relaxing space. This spa is tiny though so know you will feel a little like you're on a production line (ex. Changing room has one toilet so you may have to wait in line in your robe which takes away from that zen feel). Overall decent price for an easy massage.
