This is the ultimate place you wanna end up at….took my 83yo mum for her first visit since moving to Spicewood to see dr David Purtle and he actually took the time to get to know my mum and listen to her concerns, he was so kind and explained everything to her even knowing she forgot her hearing aids!He made it enjoyably fun. My mum was over the moon ! I highly recommend.
So far, Dr Purtle has listened to my health issues that my last WellMed doctor and PA said where just, "Issues due to your age. Enjoy your good health!"They were serious and dangerous, but correctable issues were found by other referred specialists. It was expensive to fix them but WellMed and Medicare paid for them all.I also know what I need to do to protect my health going forward thanks to Dr. Purtle and the specialists he referred me to!
This happened a couple of months ago, and I forgot to post about it, but want to make certain I go on record about WellMed. I was in the local area when I had an asthma attack - a *really* bad one. I was on the verge of passing out in the parking lot when I stumbled into WellMed. The staff there rapidly administered an Albuterol treatment, and saved me from ending up passed out in the back of an ambulance on my way to an expensive ER visit. They didn't do this to make money, they didn't even charge me - they helped because they're wonderful people. That's it. The kindness and humanity demonstrated by the staff at WellMed was a sterling example of everything right and good about our fellow human beings. They even called me later that day to make sure I was feeling better. Seriously.
