This place is the only place in Austin Texas where you can arrive with NOTHING and leave with EVERYTHING!!! After you graduate their six month program you have the open end option of going to school, courses range from becoming a certified medical assistant, nurse's assistant, computer courses or even obtaining your CDL... All for FREE!!! If you decide not to go to school you can seek outside employment. After you are employed they give you 6 weeks of free stay time. During the duration of your stay they provide you with food, clothes, shelter, all while promoting a healthy work ethic. The church there is awesome, Captain can really preach!!! I highly recommend this to anyone who is willing to become a functioning member of society and make an astronomical change in their lives. The staff and resident managers there are terrific people who really care. Here's where I drop the mic.. ???? Hat's off to you Captain for doing a great job!!!!
I didn't graduate the program, and I have some issues with the current administration. Having said that, as I type this I am four months sober, I am at home with my family, my dog is laying at my feet while I plug away looking for a job. I wouldn't have all this without that place. If you go here, keep your eye on the ball and they will help.
I went there in June 26 2016 I had already been clean off meth for about 2 month before I got there but this place truly blessed me and my family I want to first thank God who touched miss clalia heart to allow me in without a SS card and I'd I also want to thank major Sam's for giving me the great experience of the Bible conference in lake junaluska I dint graduate but since I left I have remained total clean and sober off all drugs and alcohol I thank God for this place and all who truly work and live to see lives changed I know no other place that is free that offers the help and resources and spiritual help as the a.R.c in Austin.
