My daughter has been taking basic piano lessons for 2 years when we decided to switch to The Musicians Woodshed. We have been here for just over 6ms and I have already seen an improvement in her performance skills as well as her creativity in both piano and vocals. The Musicians Woodshed (Bee Cave) has instructors of all ages and backgrounds and is able to tailor their lessons for all abilities. I love the fact that you can walk in and start playing anything they have available. Love this place. The preamp (onboard tuner) on my wife's Ibanez acoustic-electric guitar failed and I took it to Musician's Woodshed expecting to have it replaced. Miles patiently troubleshot the device and figured out it didn't have to be replaced*-- we had it back quickly and at a very reasonable price. He was super-friendly and knowledgeable and he/TMW will be my first choice if I ever need an instrument worked on in the future. All of the staff were friendly and helpful; it was fun just waiting around and shooting the shhhhhaving cream w/them while picking up the instrument. They have a nice selection of (again) reasonably priced accessories and such; I haven't spent a lot of time looking through their inventory of guitars but wasn't overly impressed with the selection. * I asterisked this bc I don't want to give a false impression. WE got lucky that the preamp just needed its battery terminals cleaned and the faceplate replaced. Miles is a terrific guitar tech but he's not a miracle worker; if you take something truly broken to him, it might very well need to be replaced. Just setting expectations.
Went into Musicians Woodshed yesterday to pick up a Guitar. WOW, such a cool vibe and more than 3 people approaching me asking if I needed help. I finally found Don the owner and what a down to earth guy I bought the guitar and was quite pleased. If you're looking for your first Guitar or like me a guy who cant say no to a killer deal. This is the place to go.
