“TL;DR Great Experience! Amazing Team!

Came across an offer for LASIK from my health insurance provider and signed up for a consultation with LasikPlus. I've been thinking about getting LASIK for more than 10 years but never got around to doing it or thought it would be scary experience with a laser in your eyes.
Ultimately I was fed up of glasses and contact lens, being a wearer of both since mid-teens and wanted to be free of annoyances of both.

Consultation was excellent. Ernesto was very personable and walked me through all the examinations he was doing (very similar to regular eye exams) and the team answered all my questions. I braced myself on the cost of the procedure as I was expecting it to be very high given my prescription (-5 in both eyes) and expecting to walk away to think about it. However with combining my VSP insurance and discount I was shocked at the cost being reduced by 40%! It was a no brainer to proceed and I was offered the next day at 9am or a week out in the afternoon as the next earliest appointment. I opted for the next day, giving me the long weekend to recover.

On the procedure day, I was in and out of the practice within 30 minutes! Dr Brewer is a great guy, very personable and felt confident he and his team knew what they were doing. Walked me through the entire process and kept me calm during the surgery.

Not going to sugarcoat it, the first few hours are painful in that it feels like your eyes are burning and the worst itch ever. But if you follow LasikPlus' advice you're out the other side within a few hours. I went to sleep for 5 hours (as instructed) and upon waking up I was filled with emotions as I could read things from across the room!
By the evening I was watching TV and the next day had full clarity, confidence to drive and I've not looked back since!

“Wow! This is the best optometrist and staff/facility I have been to in over 10 years! Emily Simonek was so incredibly thorough to make sure my contact lens eye correction was PERFECT, not just close….but perfect at all cost. She took extra steps, extra time, and tried very slight adjustments to test which strength was optimal for me. I noticed this was going above and beyond and I even commented and thanked her for taking the extra effort to get it perfect. Just WOW! I have difficulty getting a precise prescription because I’m in between lens strengths and it’s been a struggle in the past at other places. Also Abby with the cute green glasses was a gem to help a girl out to pick and fit my frames perfectly. She was so knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful of my budget, and sweet.
