Went to the South Lamar gym rather than Slaughter/Menchaca for the 1st time. What??!! The pool was warmer and CLEAN! The gym looked clean, the locker room was clean, the sauna was clean and hot. Slaughter/Menchaca LA Fitness- why can't you maintain your physical plant like your associates up the road?

The gym is clean and has everything you could possibly need to get in a great work out! Wayne was super helpful and even let me borrow his lifting straps so I could get the most out of my lift. Happy to be training in such a nice facility.

I've been going to this location on Lamar for nine years. The equipment is almost always in good condition, and if a machine is pending repair, there is usually a note on it.
The crowd pattern is heavier on Mondays and after work hours (4pm to 7pm) on weekdays. Weekends are usually lighter, especially in the evening.
Staff has been consistently friendly, and I've had good results getting clarification on policies and bringing issues to their attention. Aaron was very helpful on a couple issues when I needed to talk to a staff member.
