TL DR: Just go-to Austin Dental Center!Ive been with Dr John Glennon since 1993. When I visit other doctors they're shocked I am still with the same dentist! I am: he's so caring and knowledgeable of not only dentistry but also office management techniques (successfully employing a diverse group of hygienists, front & back office staff) AND chronic pain.In a world where our medical personnel are overworked and over stressed, Dr John Glennon stand out above them all.If I could mark Dr Glennon as a primary care physician I would. Instead I'll just encourage you to become a patient of Austin Dental Center and enjoy the same experiences I have for 30 plus years!

There's a reason I've been coming here since 2006 and will never switch dentists even though I now live in S Austin. From top to bottom I feel so comfortable here. Every 6 months I get a checkup that is always smooth. They always accommodate my light sensitivity by turning off the overhead lighting and handing me blackout sunglasses. They are so nice and I almost never leave with a migraine, which is truly a miracle. But today was a different sort of day. I woke up with tooth pain. I was really nervous about it. I called. Sarah at the front desk, who is always amazing, got me in today. Then I met Juliet, one of the hygienists. I told her kind of my sob story about how I think I'm grinding at night and I'm so worried I'm going to have a cracked tooth because Dr. Glennon has asked me to be careful with that one. She is so reassuring. So kind. She and I talk for 30 minutes about possible solutions, including the one I've been scared to death to try, a night guard. But she puts me at ease. She is both super smart and super empathetic. She scans my mouth. Dr. Glennon comes in and does some tests. He takes time to examine the tooth and the area around it. It's either phantom pain from my anxiety or possibly real pain. He listens to me. He tells me what I'm feeling is real. I'm not sure, but I appreciate he isn't dismissive. They have my back on whichever decision I want to make to protect my tooth. I leave almost about to cry because of how kind they are.

I literally cannot rave more about this Dentist office, and not just Dentist Glennon, but the entire team. Associate Dentist Dr. Thu Trinh and the Dental Assistant Maritza Spears were exceptional at not just what they were doing, but making you feel right at home. By the time everything was done, it more-so felt like a casual encounter with friends rather than your "classic" Dentist appointment. Would highly recommend.
