I've had to go to small claims court to recoup money paid to this man up front for services he did not perform. Feeling sorry for him, my wife and I fronted him money to do multiple tax returns and assist with setting up bookkeeping for our small business. He managed to complete one return and then it became harder and harder to reach him. When I pressed him regarding our situation, he admitted to me he had never finished certification, and was "technically" not a certified public accountant.
