**UPDATE** Resolution: Dr Alavi called me personally as soon as he found out my issue. He was very apologetic and sincere about what happened. He is working with his Billing to work out the disconnect issues not only for me but for all patients. This really pleased me. We have worked out the issues with my billing. I will be able to start treatment again to alleviate my pain and see his great staff again. I have no other complaints and am very pleased with the service. Give them a try and if you have an issue go directly to someone at the local office. this is at the location in Arlington on randol mill rd. I actually loved the staff and found some improvement with my nerve pain. The problem is the billing. The first day I went for information I actually met with the director, Dr. Ali Alavi. I watched a video and then he spoke to me. He told me that medicare would pay 100% for my treatments. He also told me that if I received a bill from them not to worry, it would have been in error. That is the only reason I agreed to the treatments. I know as a recent transplant patient with many bills and medications I cannot afford 20% of each treatment cost. I have secondary insurance but it only pays after I meet a $3000 in network out of pocket deductible. I continued the treatments, twice a week since April and never received a bill or was asked to make payments. then in June I started receiving bills. At first I didn't think of it because of what Dr. Alavi told me but then they kept coming. I now owe $1113.75 that I simply cannot afford. thankfully I stopped going in August due to another procedure I had. i was about to start back up until I remembered that I was still receiving bills. I talked to their billing department who checked with the office for me and was informed that no, I do owe this money even though I was told I would not owe anything. Again, the staff there is great and I believe the treatments work but do not believe what they tell you about payment. Be warned. You will owe a lot of money and might be like me and have to choose between paying this or paying for your medicine. I know this will hit collections and then my credit soon. I am very frustrated and actually sad. If you have elderly relatives please be mindful and help them with the finances if you take them here.
