Saw this dental practice a few years ago- never heard from them regarding a balance because we went in as a family for a routine cleaning. “Insurance covers everything” I was told…. Fast forward to a week before Christmas, I get a collection notice. Reporting to the BBB and I will let anyone and am considering reaching out to media outlets. Beware this business!!!

Less than one star if I could. Reported false information to the Credit agencies. I have never been to this place. The information they have for "me" is not even my name. It is someone I have no idea who they are. Their phones are not in service to call and inquire. I have disputed with the Credit Agencies, I called the Reporting collection agency.

Don't fall for Dr. Hoffpauir's Facebook propaganda like I did! He advertises that he wants to give every patient the smile they deserve at an affordable price, but that is a LIE! I desperately was looking for a dentist to help me fix my teeth after years of bad experiences with other dentist. After my consultation, I thought I had found that dentist, but I was so WRONG! I am not a resident of Alvin, and I drove an hour to see Dr. Hoffpauir. I was quoted over $15k worth of dental work broke down into several phases. Which I was fully committed to having that work done by Dr. Hoffpauir. The first phase would cost me $1.4k and consists of 3 procedures. I called a week before my appointment to ask if I could get this split into 2 appointments. I wanted to have 2 of the procedures done together and 1 procedure done the following week. To split the cost into 2 payments making it financially easier for me to accomplish. I was told over the phone that I would have to wait until the day of my appointment to ask Dr. Hoffpauir. Today was my appointment day and my GPS said it would take me 56 minutes to get to Alvin and I left my home giving myself an hour & 10 minutes to arrive to my appointment. Due to inclement weather, traffic was terrible; and I arrived to my appointment 22 minutes late. As soon as I arrived, the receptionist began to print my consent forms. At the time, I informed her that I previously called and was told to ask about splitting my appointment into 2 visits when arrived. Dr. Hoffpauir came out to get me and absolutely humiliated me! He was definitely angry with me because I wanted to split my first phase into 2 appointments. He was condescending about my finances and used me being late as a reason not to see me today. Saying things like I could "prepay" today and reschedule, that way he knew I would have the money. What he didn't know, is that I was prepared to pay for my appointment in full today, but wanted to ask to split it into 2 payments because I was trying to be smart with my finances. When I told him how far I had to drive to see him, he advised his front office staff could help me find a dentist in my area. I chose to leave today, and I will find another dentist on my own. During my consultation my husband was with me, and Dr. Hoffpauir spoke to me completely different and with respect. Today while I was alone he spoke to me very disrespectfully. I am so disappointed and I definitely believe he didn't want to see me today because he thought I wasn't paying the full $1.4k today. I understand I was late, but no other patients were in the office at the time this occurred. I work in healthcare, and ironically I'm the Director of Patient Advocacy & Customer Service.. I know what top notch customer service consists of and Dr. Hoffpauir is definitely lacking in that area. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MONEY HUNGRY CHAUVINISTIC DENTIST!! Do not waste your time!!
