I shopped in the jewelry dept in Abilene, TX on 6/14/23. I was searching for a necklace for my mom so she can place the pendant that holds my sister’s ashes on a sturdy, pretty necklace. We were helped by Joe Welsh. He was super helpful and friendly in allowing mom to try on the jewelry and informing us of the deals JC Penney had, helped me get a new JCP Credit card because my old one had turned off due to inactivity. I was so pleased and excited about the purchase and customer service that i had forgotten my temporary credit card at the counter! I do enjoy a good shopping trip to JC Penny but this day was rough. They dont really have any teen boys shoe sizes in stock. It was hot and stuffy in the store and they had one cashier who was checking out a long line of people. She was rather patient and kind and the only reason why I gave this trip 4 stars.
Got accused of stealing as I was walking in the door. I was like "Yo at least give me a chance to walk around and steal before you accuse me" but after that was all sorted out I found some good deals on winter clothing. All in all it's a great place for a warm coat and public humiliation!
