This review is 100% a positive endorsement of the training services offered by Jennie and team at Kindred Spirits Dog Training. My wife and I were lucky enough to acquire a Bluetick Coonhound puppy in October 2022 and we were able to perform some basic training and skills, but nothing to the level that we wanted for him and needed for him as hounds can be tough if they are not trained. We researched for a bit and landed on Kindred Spirits to send Clyde to their 3 week board-and-train and we also chose to have them collar train him (100% recommend). Clyde came back with much better manners and really great improvement at skills such as sit, down, place, stay, leave it, and leash skills. 3 weeks may seem like a lifetime when leaving your pup, but they were great at communicating and sending picture updates and we could tell that Clyde was having a wonderful time. He is 9 months old now and we've been able to take him in public with us without any worry or issues. At restaurants and bars, if we tell him to stay, he does without batting an eye. We've recently kayaked with him and his recall was spot on. Thank you Jennie and Kindred team for the great work you did with our boy!
When we dropped our 1.5 yr old beagle off with Jennie we were on the verge of rehoming him. He wouldn’t listen and although we walked him several miles a day it was becoming unbearable because he pulled so much on the leash, jumped at people, and would bark hysterically at every dog we passed. Since bringing him home he’s a different dog on walks. He listens, doesn’t charge people, and only barks at a dog if they are really asking for it ;). We have even trained him to sit at every corner before crossing the street! The best part is no pulling and our kids, including our 6-year-old daughter can walk him with ease. We now have a dog that can be a full part of the family.
So glad I found Kindred Spirits! Jennie was just the trainer I was looking for to help me with my two massive beasts. Pic is of my reactive walks on a down during a recent walk
