“I have been to Salon K two times so far. I was super nervous about getting my hair cut due it it being naturally super curly and I haven't put any hair dye in my hair since like 2018, so I was skeptical at first but I knew for a fact I wanted it dyed. I messaged Kassie and she was super stoked just as I was first time we did kinda like a rainbow and she is definitely a vibe. I'm an elder emo and she was hands down the best thing that's happened to my hair. So of course I had to go back and now I have beautiful green and blue hair. 10/10 recommend!!!“

“Back in 2018 I was new to the area and stopped here while I was passing by to ask about making an appointment. The older lady was so rude. She said that no one there could help me. My hair was currently a bright pink and purple. I was considering dying it back to medium brown. Nothing crazy. I was also going to get a cut (I had super long hair wanted most cut off). She said because they don't do "wild colors". Then she said my hair would need multiple treatments to go brown. I did it myself in an hour. I also cut it myself. Whole thing took an hour and half. Cost me $20. I was prepared to pay whatever it cost there. I've never forgotten how rude she was and how bad she made me feel. I honestly feel like she saw a 24yo who she assumed was too broke to get their hair done. She went as far as to say to another stylist "this is why you shouldn't dye your hair weird colors" and they laughed at me. Hopefully they're gone but I happened to pass by today and remembered this. Since then I found a great place and have never felt so judged and uncomfortable at a hair salon. Sharing because that 10min interaction stayed with me all this time and honestly made me not go to another salon for a long time (2021) Hopefully other stylist will see this and be a little more kind to people. The whole reason my hair was pink and purple was to honor my 4yo daughters memory. You never know before you are cruel what someone's going through. From reviews it seems this place is under better management now so that's great. The ladies I'm talking about here were probably in their late 40's early 50's, so they're probably not there now. However it's stayed with me for the past 7yrs so .“

“If you need a color correction, this is the place!! I was new to the area and had gone to a couple different colorist and ended up very disappointed. My hair was so damaged from trying to fix the orange stripes that mysteriously showed up after getting my hair done. I started researching for someone who had training in color correction and I found Kimber. She knew exactly what was attempted on my hair by other stylists without me telling her, and why my hair looked the way it did. She was so knowledgeable and I felt instantly comfortable with her. She explained the whole process to me about how she was going to fix my hair and what my expectations should be. She gave me tips on how to care for my hair in between appointments due to the previous damage. I was so happy just after my first appointment. She was able to fix the orange stripes and give me the look I had been wanting but never found anyone that was able to do it. I've been going to Kimber for about 6 months now and my hair is so much healthier, and the color is exactly what I wanted. Color correction services aren't cheap. They require someone with extra skills and knowledge to fix the problem. In my desperate research I found there were very few colorist with the training in color correction and some places out of the area charging over a thousand dollars. I was actually pretty surprised about how reasonable Kimber's prices were. Color correction is going to cost more than just getting your hair done, but it was so worth it. I have continued to go to Kimber for my hair upkeep and I absolutely love her. She is a hidden gem.“
