I love they've opened up a new part of the cemetery. They also now have mausoleums .I don't know if any other religion that helps with the funeral cost I just found out about Cavalier Where my family has been buried at since the1900. The Cemetery at the end of my life will pay a lot of the cost I've checked prices of mausoleums and they have been very very expensive Calvary has them for very reasonable price . This is due to the all of the Catholic Churches helping With the price. Now I can't say anything about me donating so much money to the church because now it's goin to payoff at the end of my life.
I have always had a fascination with old cemeteries. Not only for the tranquility, but that upon those grounds lie untold stories of lives that were realized and ultimately came to its inevitable conclusion. People who lived lives of tragedy, sadness, and, most often the case, a combination of both. Amongst the graves, both humble and grandiose, lies a reverence and a peace that befits the solemn nature of this property. It is as if nature knows what this land's duty is, that it offers a respect for those who have returned to whatever awaits us beyond.
This is a beautiful and peaceful cemetery. It was very moving to be able to see the blessings of the graves of the two engineers in the Dutchman’s Curve Train Wreck, 100 years later. We are grateful to Father Ed Steiner, Betsy Thorpe and the parishioners of the Cathedral of the Incarnation for their thoughtful and kind efforts to honor the victims of the worst train wreck in US history.
