Being a tech, I pretty much knew what was going on with her and they were amazing the way they worked with me with her diagnostics and care. They were very compassionate and made me feel as if I had been taking her there for her entire life. Thanks to everyone that made my experience a good one being as that it ended with such sadness. “I was at the vet today with my dog, who was admittedly being very difficult and resistant. Despite that, Dr. Thomas and the entire staff were outstanding. They went beyond just being clinically professional — they were genuinely kind, patient, and understanding throughout the entire visit.

Even with our dog being scratchy and volatile, everyone remained calm, reassuring, and supportive. As an owner, that made a huge difference. I never felt judged or rushed; instead, I felt like they truly understood the situation and cared about both my dog’s well-being and my comfort as an owner.

Dr. Thomas took the time to talk through a thoughtful plan to help Winnie feel more comfortable in the office going forward, which I really appreciated. It was clear this wasn’t just about getting through the appointment, but about building a better experience for future visits.

“Dr. Shinar was so attentive and kind. I am a nurse and I care a lot about my dog so I had several questions. He was very thorough answering my questions and even after my visit he sent me a link to an educational article/website about my dog’s condition. He also pulled up her chest x day and went over it with me. Additionally, they also have next day appointments available which is great when more emergent issues come up. My dog broke her nail off completely and they saw her the next day. The staff is super friendly and I can’t give Dr. Shinar enough praise. He takes time to do a thorough assessment and educate owners. So happy I found a good vet after moving to Nashville!“

“My 18-year-old cat, Roxy, collapsed at home and I rushed her to Harpeth Valley. The entire staff immediately jumped into action: both vets and several techs worked on her at once. Dr. Hurst was compassionate, honest, and truly invested in her recovery. None of us believed she would make it through the day, but with their continued care, the right interventions, and a lot of intuition, she surprised us all.

Her labs have stabilized, she’s recovering, and I have more time with my girl thanks to them. Today on her follow-up after the crisis has passed, he walked into the room holding her like a proud grandfather showing off a miracle baby. “The knowledgeably skilled Paws and Claws veterinarians and techs have been keeping our dog happy and healthy, for a long time. Even this last year with kidney disease, their care has kept her running around, as usual, enjoying all her daily doggie stuff. It’s very obvious they all love making sure, the animals coming to them for care are living their best lives.“

“Wonderful staff. The doctors and all the staff here make themselves available via phone AND text. After my cat got attacked by my neighbor’s dog, I took her here and they kept her safe overnight. Once she came home, they kept checking in on me for weeks after to see how my cat was healing. Really means a lot they take the extra time to do that.

UPDATE- I can’t say enough good things about the Animal House staff. Dr. Herd, Dr. Diana, the entire staff really- went above and beyond at every step of the way with my cat. After my cat got attacked by my neighbors dog, she developed a hernia that required surgery. Dr. Herd performed the surgery and we were able to bring my cat back home the same day! my cat required SIGNIFICANT repair, needing 4 layers of stitching to close up the hole the dog had caused. We let my cat out of the crate a week or two later and she was already ready to jump up on the couch to cuddle with us. She healed so well. They even shaved her for us before surgery so we didn’t have to stress over taking her to the groomer while she was healing. Truly am so grateful to everyone here and would highly recommend!“

“I have been taking my pets to Caudle since I moved here. The doctor there is so great and caring - he took care of my dogs from eye infections to just about every illness of senior dogs. .. The caring of him spreads to his staff. I will never takes my dogs anywhere else but here... you would be lucky to have them take care of your dog.“

I called around to find a reptile vet that would offer me some advice on what I could do to ensure he would make it until our power was back on.
