I'd like to preface this review with the fact that the gym has moved from the Broad St location to 1400B West College St, but I digress. There are a couple things about this gym that makes this unique compared to the other BJJ gyms in the area. We take a no nonsense approach to BJJ in the fact that we really put an emphasis on BJJ that works in self defense. Many of the schools around the area train for competition, but when it comes to competition, our gym's characteristics really manifest itself in competition. But the biggest reason why I'd give this gym 5 out of 5 is due to the fact that coach really cares for each of the students. He takes the time to make sure that we get each technique before moving on. Because of his coaching style, a mini community developed within the gym that really welcomes new practitioners and veterans alike. So if you're looking for a gym that provides a sense of community give us a try!

I've been to a few gyms but this one is definitely the best. The head coach, Medley, is super smart and breaks down every teachable moment down to where anyone can learn and thrive. Anyone interested, please check them out!

We love this gym! Our kids have been attending Jiu Jitsu kids classes for two years. This is not an after-school program, it’s a dedicated class that actually teaches your kids the discipline and art of Jiu Jitsu. Coach Earl keeps the class size small so each child gets the attention they need. I highly recommend this gym for anyone who wants their kids to learn to defend themselves and build confidence.
