First of all, I want to say that Greg, Elisha and Dr. Devine are fabulous and patient. I called on Monday, 9/18/23 at a little after 2:30 pm and the woman I spoke to was simply rude, unhelpful, unprofessional and just mean. I called back to ask for her name for the purpose of this review. "Tammy". Just unduly impatient and rude.I usually only leave positive reviews and, maybe Tammy was having a bad day.

The optical at Target in Knoxville is amazing. They recently corrected the "mistake" of a different dedicated place where I had just gotten my eyes checked and glasses made. They really took the time, did a full exam, and made things right even though it was not their mistake to fix. The entire staff was professional and helpful. When I went in and told them what had transpired they first took my glasses and the prescription and checked them to make sure that it was not just poor work on the glasses. Once they knew that the glasses matched the prescription they then scheduled me for an eye exam. All that prechecking was done free of charge. The exam was very through and the optometrist was a complete professional. Turned out the other place was being lazy and didn't fully get my number dialed in, they went with a close enough approach. This place was very different and made sure I could see. When I went in and picked up the new glasses they made sure the fit was right and everything was perfect. I could not recommend this place anymore than I already do. They are the best, and they work well with insurance too.

After researching price and turnaround time at several retailers in Knoxville, I took my 3 year old to Target Optical to purchase his first pair of glasses. I couldn't believe the final price difference compared to other stores that carry designer frames. Child lenses are only $25 with the purchase of frames. I paid the regular retail price for Ray-Ban frames; the lenses, however, were $224 LESS than I'd been quoted for child-sized lenses at another retailer. They also offer a $35 protection plan that covers both frames and lenses. (Note that the $25 lens price is only for children's glasses- I did ask for the sake of this review). My son's vision exam was performed by a pediatric ophthalmologist at ETCH, so I didn't interact with Target's Optometrist. However, the technician working in the glasses store was a huge help. She was very knowledgeable and provided guidance on which frames work best for toddlers and which to avoid. Based on my experience at Target Optical, I can't imagine going anywhere else for kids' glasses.
