We just moved to the area and this was my first visit to Hughes Farmers Market and Nursery. Excellent selection of very fresh produce, dairy, eggs, jams, preserves, etc at very fair prices for the quality. I bought heirloom tomatoes, fruits and veggies, a freestone Elberta peach tree, and even found a Boysenberry vine! One of the owners helped me with my purchases and was very welcoming. I plan on going back to try their deli sandwiches and, of course, the Amish ice cream. I’m glad I got there the second day that they’re open for the 2024 season. It’s now on my list of regular stops!

I don't visit Hixon often, but this time around I noticed this adorable farmer's market. I naturally could not resist stopping (even in the rain) from their roadside appeal alone. These were some of the friendliest people I've ever interacted with. They cut and let me buy half a sugar baby watermelon (so delicious) and I got some of their Amish apple cider/ blackberry jam which was also delicious! I hope to return soon!

Great roadside market for fresh produce, plants, ice cream and sandwiches. Small markets like this are few and far between in recent years so do stop in and give them a chance to win your business.A rare treat for the kids or us adults is Hershey brand ice cream. Also not common, but welcome, in Chattanooga.
