Profits over patient care. Following great expense including multiple eye exams, office visits, frames, lenses and being told by two different OPMT optometrist that cataracts were not the issue, my vision issues continued. I called and made an appointment over a week ago for an eye exam, letting them know I wear CRT lenses (Ortho-K). The receptionist took my insurance information and said that the appointment would be covered. Now, on the day of the exam, they call me and inform me that they refuse to do an eye exam without also doing a fitting. The lens fitting which I already have done is a) not covered by the insurance that they checked on the day of the booking b) over $1600 out of pocket. This should have been made clear during the booking.
