Hired them to build a covered patio with a fireplace, which visually turned out quite nice. However, structurally, there have been some major issues. First, the concrete contractor they used poured the fireplace footer 7 inches off center, causing our very large stone fireplace to not completely sit on a sound footing. No issues right now with that, but we will see how long it lasts before problems arise. Second, the stone mason they used masoned a chimney crown out of straight mortar, causing massive leaks to the inside of the fireplace box. We are very happy with our covered porch by Peaceful Settings. Rick the owner came out for our initial consult and provided a number of options and photos. They pulled the proper permits etc… very legit company. We also used The Power Doctors and were pleased with their work. Anytime we had any question or concern they handled it without a fuss. ( and we’re pretty picky). John, the project lead was was a pleasure to work with. They cleaned everything up when they were done… performed a final walk through to make sure we were happy. Our experience was not peaceful. Peaceful Settings and Power Doctors were referred to us by a contractor. We found a photo of a modern-style pergola we wanted & the initial consult went well. We were told this would be quick & easy, and not as difficult as the traditional style pergolas typically built.Our pre-construction inspection was missed. They stained the wood in advance in the wrong shade, then re-stained the same wood which didn’t match any existing wood at our home. In attempt to not delay the project, we accepted it if they were able to restain our posts to match their error.
