Dr Paul Smith III is the most well rounded PCP I have ever had! Not only does he know his stuff when it comes to the human anatomy, but he has always been great, at diagnosing the problem, prescribing the right medication to treat the diagnosis, and spending enough time with me to make sure all issues are resolved..He is very down to earth, easy to talk to, and actually cares about his patients! He is my one and only PCP, as long as I live!
My husband and I have been going here for years. The last few years have gotten worse. The receptions are rude when you call, the office manager was rude toy husband once. It's hard to get appt when you don't get off work until 3:30 but the close at 4:30. They told my husband they don't take patients after 3:45! And I have heard they lock the doors at 4pm. I wish they would open back up on Sunday like 8-12. Like I said they have gotten worse and I feel like they do not care about the patients anymore like they did years ago.
I had a great experience with Dr. Boerma, but the policies at the Family Medicine Center are disappointing. My husband switched doctors in 2018, and when that office closed in 2019, he was left without a primary care provider. When we recently tried to schedule an appointment to get him back in, we were told that because he had seen another doctor—despite it being over five years ago—he was no longer eligible to book there. It’s frustrating that they would hold a decision made six years ago against him. However, we’ll take our search elsewhere. This is not a reflection on Dr. Boerma himself, but rather on the policies set by the clinic.
