Thrash's Tattoo - A Living Art Studio, located in Rapid City, has been creating beautiful tattoos since 2001. Founded by Matt Thrash, who has been tattooing since 1997 and was voted Best Tattoo Artist of the Black Hills in 2022, the studio offers a wide range of tattoo services. Customers are treated in a very hospitable and caring manner in a clean and sterile environment. Matt Thrash is an incredible artist who transforms ideas into amazing artwork with incredible attention to detail, perfect placement, popping colors, and tight lines. The studio also features unique tie-dye garments of quality. The shop atmosphere is clean and professional, yet friendly and fun, making it an enjoyable place to visit. Many customers have had wonderful experiences here, often noting the welcoming nature of the staff, including artists like Mallory, who is known for her professionalism and skill. With a fantastic family atmosphere, Thrash's Tattoo is the perfect destination for those seeking a unique and well-crafted piece of living art.
I have always wanted a Tattoo, and am happy to say that Thrash's Living Art Studio was fantastic! Several months ago, I was the happy recipient of a beautiful Celtic cross on my inside right forearm. Several months later, and on my birthday, my wife setup another session for me. My artist, Matt Thrash, talked with me about what I expected, and he came through with a beautiful design. And, I want others to know that from the very beginning, I was treated in a very hospitable and caring manner. Also, I have diabetes, and they were always making sure that I was comfortable. When I had questions, he explained multiple options, and added his incredible experience to the design. He made a stencil of the art, all the while explaining to me my options. It was fantastic. With his suggestions, and sometimes on the fly, he was able to make an incredible, beautiful piece of Living Art. I think his last words were, "Is there anything else that you would like added..." (excellent customer service) He is also an incredible artist when it comes to his Tye Dye creations. In addition to Living Art, I purchased a Tye Dye shirt of quality, and plan on wearing it as much as possible. This was a family atmosphere, with everybody having fun, and can't wait for my next Tattoo. I can't say enough about them and I highly recommend this establishment.
