Horrible communication. Didn't uphold her end of our lease. Horrifying experience, avoid at all costs. This physical address is incorrect. There is no physical location for the "business".
Shannon Brinker is an unethical agent. I wish I could post negative stars. She continually ignored requests for information. Set us up on a management contract that we had to give 90 days notice to end, yet broke it off on a TEXT. Being her own broker has given her nobody to answer to. I have statements in her handwriting that she denies. Charges maintenance hours for help that she requested to save her online reviews. I have been owed several thousand dollars since September. Completely unprofessional at everything!!
I lived in one of her properties (706 Saint Andrew Street) for 2 months after selling my house quicker than expected (through another realtor) and needing a short-term rental prior to a military assignment out of state. This house was filthy. The HVAC filter hadn't been replaced in years it seemed (prior to me replacing it out-of-pocket), and dust/odor was circulating all throughout the house. The carpets were badly stained and full of animal hair, so I rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned them twice. The bed had multiple stains, some of which appeared to be blood. The floor in the living room appeared to be sinking into the ground below and the house definitely had a slant to it. Because of the property being un-level, the front door would not properly close. It appeared to close, but all you'd have to do is give it a push from the outside and it would open right up. There was evidence of rodents behind the fridge and under the oven heating elements, however I didn't actually see any while I was there. However, I appreciated having a place short-term, so I made it a point to leave it better than I found it.Upon moving out, after inquiring about my security deposit, I was told a knife was allegedly found "stuck in the mattress" and that I would be notified of cleaning and replacement costs. I have no idea how a knife got there and certainly would not be asking about my security deposit if I actually had stabbed a bed. The communication from her has been lackluster at best, and now it's appearing I may lose a security deposit after leaving the house cleaner than I found it. I have never lost a security deposit but somehow now at age 37, after 18 years in the Air Force, I am destructive and dirty. I would avoid doing business with her or True North Asset Group at all costs, as a tenant, prospective buyer/seller or in a property management capacity. Completely dishonest and unethical.
