“TRAVELERS TO STURGIS/Rapid City…this review is for you!!! I travel an awful lot with my work. Often for months at a time. This causes me to often need to take on the challenge of finding a new barber while away from home. Most of the time, this is a miserable experience for the same reason you probably don’t enjoy going out to eat much anymore. No one cares about service and quality, and everyone thinks they should be paid double what their product or service is worth. So with great reluctance, I took on the challenge of shopping for a Barber while in Rapid City for the Sturgis Rally. I reviewed several shops reviews, and prices and ultimately landed on Odyssey, specifically a barber named Brandi who had great reviews for men’s cuts and kids cuts as I needed to get my 7 year old son’s haircut as well. The combination of what seemed like very fair pricing (some of the pricing at Barbers in town is absolutely ridiculous and they must be cutting golden hair strands for that money) and the very strong reviews for Brandi and the other Barbers, I chose Odyssey. It was easy to book online, and i got text reminders leading up to my appointments.

When I arrived, I was greeted and Brandi was right on time ready for me. She asked me what I wanted and needed for my cut and paid careful attention to deliver. This sounds like it would be obvious, but I can tell you it definitely is not. Most barbers ask you what you want, then just do whatever they want, as fast as they can. What I did not know I was even going to get from Brandi was a wash and scalp massage. It was delightful. Icing on the cake and an added bonus as that is really rare from Barbers! Then it was my son’s turn. She again asked me what I wanted, and again, totally delivered with confidence.

I told Brandi while sitting in her chair that Barbers “hands don’t lie”. What I mean is that you can always tell a barber or hair dresser who knows what they are doing by how they handle their scissors and comb. Brandi is a pro. Period. And I highly recommend you give her a try. Local or not, she is worth the investment of time and certainly worth the investment for the cut and tip! That’s really rare today. Thank you Brandi. My guy and I are grateful for good, clean cuts for the rally!“
“Friendly, clean environment, first time here and she did a great job. Very pleased with the haircut and price! Would recommend.“
“I found ghis place after moving in. 13 for a great haircut. This is a one chair barber shop. Call for reservations is best, but he will take walkins.“
“Nothing beats starting the day off with a fresh cut chatting with some great people! I’ve always loved this place, because it’s not just a haircut. Sure it might take a bit longer than the quick $15 haircut shop. But for the same price you can sit down and chat with some great people as they meticulously work to make you look your best! Can’t speak highly enough of this place and from the people that will hangout and chat for an hour while they wait for their barber to free up… I’m not the only one that feels that way!“
“I love this place. Super friendly. Great prices. Cute doggo. Athena is the best, loudest, most playful mascot and she's a joy to be around. The prices are reasonable and Janna works hard to make sure her clients are well taken care of.“
“Brenda is "the best" Very personal service The place to go in Rapid City for your haircut needs .“
“$15 Kids Cut, can't beat it. Hillary gave my son the best haircut he's ever had. Thank you!!

Stylist: Hillary“
“6throne is more than just the spot for a fade, taper, shave, or cleanup—it’s where the real barbers’ magic happens. The crew here isn’t just skilled; they’re legendary. Every visit means top-notch cuts and epic vibes with genuine conversations and laughs. I showed up right before their lunch break, desperately needing a fresh look for my bachelor party. Without missing a beat, they fit me in and nailed it. They even wished me well on my trip! If you haven’t experienced 6throne, you haven’t had a true haircut. This place is where the barbershop royalty reigns supreme.“
