James Valley Community Health Center (Horizon Health Care, Inc.)

Good doctors, but it could do with better nurses/receptionists. I called to get my last vaccine shot but I wasn’t sure what day it was supposed to be. I was told I could come any time the following week. I went there the next monday, waited more than 30 mins only to be told that I had to come back friday since that was the day I was supposed to come back. Didn’t mind having to come back, just wished I had been told the correct information sooner or that time when I had called.

Awesome doctors. Really awesome. The receptionists, not so much. If you call when the open for a same day appointment, they put you on hold for "just a minute" and hang up on you 20 min later. When you call back, you get a message that says they are in a meeting from 12 to 1:30 please call back after that. I called AT 7:30am! It's not even noon yet, exactly how are you in a meeting? Please hire better receptionists.

I've been Dr. Ruth Lim's patient for three years now after moving from 'another Huron Clinic who's Professional Competency and Knowledgeof my own Medical History proved to be disappointing'. Dr. Lim listened to me; that's a key factor for my choice of Primary Care Physician. Excellentdiscussion and referral to Medical Specialists has also showed Dr. Lim'sdedication to my healthcare. Horizon's James Valley Community Health Center in Huron fits my needs due to: 'very well managed patient intake and professional front office staff too'.
