This place is a work in progress for sure.  We had a group and rented the third floor which has 3 rooms(4 beds),  and a large party room.  The elevator was broken but he did let us know ahead of time and give us the option to cancel. We didn't and it was a bit taxing on the older folks going up to the third floor.  I thought it was fine, but the rest of the group wouldn't go back.  I was bummed that the steakhouse was only open Friday (I was planning to go on Sat)  I think they were short staffed. Anyway the owner was very nice and I hope to see this place thrive in the future.

Love this hotel. The rooms are nice sized comfortable beds and our bathroom has an amazing tub to relax in. Very quiet between rooms and guests in the hall. Yes, it is warm on the second story because of the spa. the ambiance of the rooms makes up for it. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The 1890 steakhouse did not disappoint. We will be back.Rooms: Spacious, minimal noises from the other guestsWalkability: Loved being able to park the vehicle and walk around the community.

What a gem situated in a beautiful quaint town. This lovely newly renovated historic hotel is well worth the few extra dollars for a night. It's clean and well-appointed with an elevator. The restaurant served us a delicious bison steak dinner. The servers were kind and cheerful. Wish we could've stayed longer!
