Admitted to 5 west, the room was filthy. I was told I could "request" housekeeping. I did due to the odor of the room and requested the floor be mopped. It was "spot-mopped". 3 times over 2 weeks. Toilet was not cleaned. Cobwebs hung over my husband's head. Dirt and Dust lined the ceiling. One of My deepest regret's is that my husband spent the last two weeks of his life in such filth! This hospital has gone so downhill. And, I've been a patron for 64 years. On a positive note, with one exception, the nurse's were excellent
I went in with a serious concern with a golf ball sized cyst on ovary after having a hysterectomy one month ago...pretty scary possible contortion of ovary...thank the Lord it wasn't but I couldn't have asked for more better care from my wonderful nurse in the ER (KAREN) and the ultrasound tech was the best tech I've ever come in contact with (Michael)!!!! I would recommend anyone to request these amazing healthcare staff for any needs.
Unfortunately I had to spend a week here. The first day was spent in the hall of the ER. It was horrible. There was a man with Covid placed very close. I understand that many that go to the ER are addicted to drugs but I spent hours In severe pain before even Tylenol was offered. Then hours before anything else was offered and I was moved to a room. The entire week was made harder than need be. One particular nurse that I had was particularly horrible. She was former army trained but I can't imagine that she had any true nursing training. Being taken down for an X-ray was particularly terrible. As I was left in a cold hallway with people passing by both before and after. I tried using the call button a couple times but no one came. Lastly, the food was like cardboard. I will say it seemed prepared with care but when you start with the worst ingredients and use no seasoning it is hopeless. A regular diet should be a regular diet and not fake foods.
