“We run a dog rescue and yesterday the air conditioner went out in our home. The first person I called said they would be out by noon. They never showed up or called back and at 4:30 I was desperate. I had a house full of dogs that were so hot and panting, even with every fan I own blowing on them. We were pretty sure the problem was our thermostat and we had a new one ready to be installed. In desperation I started calling to see if i could find anyone to come out to see what the problem was. I finally found someone who said they could be there around 8pm but I would have to pay an after hours service call fee of $229. Meanwhile, i had to rush one dog to the vet due to extreme heat stress. She was on the verge of collapse. That added another $200 to the incident total. Company #2 showed up, took a look at my system and thermostat and said his company would not repair a system as old as mine (under 10 years old) and that I needed to replace my whole system to the tune of 7 to 14 thousand dollars. When I asked about putting in the new thermostat to see if that would solve the problem, he said no use to do that. He left and said his company would get back to me with a quote on a new system. I still had a house full of hot dogs. In desperation i went back to google and started looking for someone that might come out by the next day if not that n night. I happened upon P&W and called and Steven said he could come but it would be between 11 pm and 2 am. He quoted me upfront his hourly rate and I gratefully told him to come as soon as he was able. He showed up before midnight, got out of his truck and went to look at my inside unit and thermostat. He put the new thermostat in within 15 minutes and then went to look at the outside unit. He came back and told me my unit was in dire need of cleaning, quoted me the price and after my approval, had the job done in about 30 minutes. Everything was done for under 1000 dollars and my unit was cooling like a champ. I cannot say enough good things about Steven's knowledge, professionalism and willingness to come when others would not. Thanks to P&W, my husband and I, along with our many dogs, were able to go to sleep in cool comfort, and I am now a customer of P&W for the rest of time. When and if I ever need a new unit, he will be the one to provide it and service it. I know I will get a fair and honest price and great service from this company.“
